Leading global customer care and billing solutions provider CSG Systems
(Nasdaq: CSGS) and Connexn Technologies, the world leader in technology-based
cost and revenue assurance (CRA), today announced a global partnership that
will deliver an integrated billing, data mediation and CRA offering.
The partnership marks the first time that wireless, wireline and/or

of integrated, world-class billing, data mediation and CRA products in both

By aligning CSG(R) Data Mediation, CSG Kenan(R)/BP, CSG ICMS and CSG
CCS(R) billing engines with Connexn's new Certo CRA platform, service
providers will benefit from faster implements at a lower cost. Work has
already begun to align CSG's world-class billing engine, CSG Kenan/BP and CSG
Data Mediation with Certo.
Revenue leakage, the revenue earned by communications service providers
but not recognized, is such a widespread issue that leading research firm The
Yankee Group estimates carriers will spend nearly $1 billion on revenue
assurance products and solutions by 2008. Leaks can occur at many places in
the revenue lifecycle, from the point at which a customer places an order or a
call, logs onto the Internet or downloads a video all the way through to the
final bill.
"Revenue leakage and cost management are undoubtedly some of the most
pressing business issues facing telecommunications operators today as they
strive to improve financial performance. Resolving these issues, however,
requires a comprehensive, enterprise-wide approach to ensuring data accuracy
in all key network and computing systems," said Jason Briggs, program manager,
Billing Payment and Application Strategies, Yankee Group. "CSG and Connexn
have established a new integrated model to effectively address cost management
and revenue assurance challenges with a holistic view of a service providers'
revenue infrastructure."
The combination of solutions from both companies will enable service
providers to realize revenue from every customer transaction. In addition to
benefits such as boosting profitability and increasing customer satisfaction,
service providers also can deploy CRA solutions as part of their compliance
programs to meet Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory guidelines.
"Because of our experience in working with service providers worldwide,
CSG recognizes that revenue leakage and cost assurance is much more than a
billing issue -- it's a business issue," said Darla Thompson, vice president
of product management for CSG's Global Software and Services Division. "CSG
chose to partner with Connexn because it provides the industry's most
comprehensive CRA solution, providing our customers with immediate access to
world-class CRA capabilities that can ensure the accuracy of data before it
reaches the billing system and, ultimately, the end customer."
"The partnership with CSG is a strategic fit with our commitment to
deliver high-value, future-proof solutions that offer customers a fast return
on investment, scalability and low cost of ownership," said Woody Ritchey,
president and CEO for Connexn Technologies. "By integrating our platforms and
combining our domain expertise and support capabilities, Connexn and CSG can
not only deliver a CRA-enabled billing and mediation infrastructure to support
existing services, but also maximize margins and profits from day one for
next-generation services."
