FLORHAM PARK, N.J., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives
International (FEI), the leading professional association for CFOs and other
senior financial executives, has presented Myles Kelly with the association's
2004 Distinguished Service Award. The award honors volunteer leaders who have
made significant contributions to FEI's development at the local or national
level.
Mr. Kelly received the award for his long-term contributions to FEI and
for his exemplary volunteer work in the organization. Since joining the Orange
County chapter in 1978, Mr. Kelly has served in numerous leadership positions,
including Chapter President, Membership Chairman, Retention Chairman and
Career Services Chairman. He also serves on the boards of many non-profit
organizations in his community.
FEI's Distinguished Service Award nominees are evaluated across three
areas:
-- Representing FEI's goals to the financial community in an exemplary
way
-- Launching major initiatives that strengthen FEI at the national
and/or chapter levels
-- Demonstrating the qualities of a role model and being held in high
esteem by their peers
Mr. Kelly retired in 1991 from Ameron International Corporation (formerly
Ameron Inc.), after 29 years. His last position at Ameron was Controller for
the Marine Coatings Division. As Membership and Retention chair for the Orange
County chapter, Mr. Kelly was responsible for numerous major initiatives to
drive membership and retain members. He accepted his award from FEI Chairman
Dr. H. Stephen Grace, at FEI's Financial Executives Summit in San Diego, CA,
April 27.
