FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Hispanic Engineer & Information
Technology magazine has selected Raytheon Company's Dr. Hugo B. Poza, vice
president, Homeland Security, as one of the country's most powerful Hispanic
executives in technology and business.

Dr. Poza was appointed to his current position in June 2002. Previously,
he was vice president and general manager of Strategic Systems in Raytheon's
Command, Control, Communication and Information Systems (C3I) business. During
his tenure, Strategic Systems achieved a 31 percent growth in revenues and a
52 percent growth in profits.

A native of Cuba, Poza graduated from the University of Dayton with a
bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1966. He earned a master's
degree in electrical engineering in 1967 from Purdue University and a
doctorate of electrical engineering degree from Purdue in 1971.
