ANNAPOLIS, Md., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- FTI Consulting, Inc.
(Amex: FCN), the premier national provider of strategic and litigation-related
consulting services, today announced Diane L. Womack has been appointed a
director in FTI's Forensic & Litigation Advisory practice in New York.
Womack has over 18 years of litigation consulting and accounting
experience. She specializes in forensic accounting, damage claims and fraud
investigations. Womack has provided expert testimony and advice in cases
involving white-collar crime, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, fraud,
lost profits, damages and business valuation issues. She has worked with the
U.S. Attorney's Office and major law firms on multimillion- and billion-dollar
cases.
"Our strategy is to continue to expand our company by adding the highest-
caliber people to work in areas where there is client demand," said Jack Dunn
IV, FTI's chairman and chief executive officer. "We expect Diane to work
closely with Ray Sloane, one of our managing directors, to expand our
important forensic and litigation advisory practice in New York."
Womack has experience with a broad range of industries, including real
estate, banking, construction, manufacturing, financial services, restaurants,
food services, and professional services.
"FTI is clearly the leader in forensic and litigation consulting and is
expanding its specialty areas of fraud investigation and business valuation,
two challenging areas where I can add my expertise," Womack commented. "What
attracted me to FTI was that the practice is unique. I can draw on a variety
of national resources, including our litigation technology and communications
practice, in assisting my clients."
Previously, Womack was a partner in the litigation consulting and
bankruptcy services department at a large regional certified public accounting
firm with offices in New York City and on Long Island. She was that firm's
first female partner. Prior to that, she gained seven years of audit and
litigation consulting experience in Spicer & Oppenhiem's New York office.
"We are very excited that Diane has joined our firm," said Barry Monheit,
president of the Financial Consulting Division. "We are pleased to add
another outstanding professional to our leadership team."
Womack holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and English from Queens
College, New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud
Examiner, and holds several Business Valuation designations. She has authored
several articles that appeared in legal publications and has lectured on
litigation consulting and forensic accounting techniques to legal and
