Buena Vista Interactive Unveils Xbox Live Features for TRON 2.0: Killer App at E3 2004

Attendees Can Challenge Others in New Multiplayer Modes
at the Buena Vista Games Booth, Number 900 South Hall

BURBANK, Calif., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Buena Vista Interactive, a
publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc., today announced the unveiling of
its TRON 2.0: Killer App Xbox(TM) Live gameplay at this year's Electronic
Entertainment Expo (E3). Show attendees can battle on the gamegrid in unique
multiplayer gameplay modes and new maps created exclusively for the Xbox(R)
video game system from Microsoft and get hands-on time with the acclaimed TRON
2.0 single-player game playable for Xbox.
Currently in development by Climax's Los Angeles studio, TRON 2.0: Killer
App will feature Xbox Live multiplayer combat specially designed to deliver
gamers a state-of-the-art online multiplayer gaming experience. The game will
support advanced Xbox Live capabilities, including Xbox Live 3.0 features like
MSN Messenger, Xbox Live Aware, matchmaking, player list, per-user data,
content download and more.
TRON 2.0: Killer App allows up to 16 players to battle in 10 all-new maps
and various game modes, including traditional deathmatch, as well as
distinctive TRON gameplay modes, such as overRIDE and squad-based combat.
overRIDE lets players instantly cycle switch from first-person combat to light
cycle and back. Unique to currently available first-person shooter titles,
overRIDE enables light cycles to be used as both a method of transportation
and as a weapon. Additionally, a squad-based team multiplayer mode allows
players to choose from multiple class types that suit individual and team
playing styles. Players can also engage in multiplayer online light cycle and
disc arena battles.
"Building upon the success of TRON 2.0, Buena Vista Interactive aims to
push the limits of the multiplayer gaming experience with TRON 2.0: Killer
App for Xbox," said Bob Picunko, director or marketing form Buena Vista
Interactive. "With its all-new, robust Xbox Live component, Xbox players will
agree that the game offers some of the most innovative, action-packed gameplay
ever created for the online arena."

TRON 2.0: Killer App digitizes players inside the world of a war-ravaged
computer system on the verge of collapse from a seemingly unstoppable army of
corrupt programs lead by the evil "user" Thorne. As Thorne's relentless army
grows, it infects helpless programs, converting them into savage digital
mercenaries aimed at spreading viral agents throughout the system. The
security forces in the system struggle to quarantine the corruption, but they
are hopelessly outnumbered by the mounting army of infected programs. Only a
human "user" inside the computer world can even the odds. Armed with an
arsenal of powerful digital weapons, players face off in epic, action-packed
warfare along side security forces and against legions of horribly mutated
programs as you fight to stop the corruption from spreading and bringing down
computer systems worldwide.
TRON 2.0: Killer App for Xbox is scheduled for release in Fall 2004. For
