LOS ANGELES, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Jim Henson Interactive (JHI), the
interactive division of The Jim Henson Company, announced today at the
Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles that it has signed an
agreement with Codemasters to produce a Sony PlayStation game based on the
award-winning program Jim Henson's The Storyteller.
When people told their past with stories... explained their present with
stories... foretold the future with stories... the best place by the fire was
kept for... The Storyteller. Written by Anthony Minghella (The English
Patient and The Talented Mr. Ripley) and produced by Duncan Kenworthy, the
show also features Jim Henson's Creature Shop's(TM) magical and scary
creatures and characters.
In the game, players take control of the main character in stories and
tales based on the show. Players battle evil monsters, solve cunning riddles,
and explore strange and beautiful lands. The game is entwined with the
twisting tale spun by the Storyteller himself. The game will combine
fantastic legends, and myths with cutting-edge graphics and excellent
gameplay. The game is scheduled to be released in Spring 2001.
