LOS ANGELES, May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A report by a prominent
Hispanic organization ranks Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) among the top 20
companies in the country for its inclusion of Hispanics throughout its
business.
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) this week
released its first Corporate Index, ranking Hispanic inclusion by Fortune 100

Corporate Responsibility, lists Tyson at number 18. IBM ranked first.
The HACR assessment measured the inclusion of Hispanics in such areas as
executive leadership, corporate governance, workforce representation, Hispanic
community reciprocity and Hispanic supplier outreach and development.
"We're gratified by the results of this assessment, which reflects the

and are proud to include the company in our Index."
Last year, Tyson appointed the company's first Hispanic board member.

Commerce, is now one of five independent directors on the company's board.
Zapanta was recognized by HACR as a 2005 honoree. He was one of five Hispanic
leaders on the boards of Fortune 100 companies who were recognized by the
Association.
In 2004, J. Alberto Gonzalez-Pita was named Tyson's Executive Vice
President and General Counsel of Tyson Foods. He serves as Tyson's chief
legal officer overseeing all legal matters involving the company.
