SM&A Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

    NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- SM&A Corporation
(Nasdaq: WINS), the nation's premier provider of integrated proposal
management, systems engineering and information technology solutions, today
announced the appointment of Edward A. Beeman as its new Chief Financial
Officer, replacing Steven R. Mast who has resigned to pursue other career
opportunities.
    Mr. Beeman is a CPA with over 25 years of business experience serving in
various senior management capacities with a number of publicly traded
companies.  Most recently, Mr. Beeman was the Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer for Coyote Network Systems, a Nasdaq listed company
with a market capitalization in excess of $75 million.  Prior to that, he was
the Chief Financial Officer of Western Water Company and, from 1994 to 1996,
held a similar position with Bird Medical Technologies.  Mr. Beeman also
operated his own management consulting firm, E.A. Beeman & Associates, where
he provided high level strategic counsel to companies, including Athens
Corporation, Caliber Medical, Coverall North America and Health Education
International.  Mr. Beeman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana
University and a CPA from the State of Indiana.  He is also affiliated with
the Financial Executives Institute, AISCP, the Indiana CPA Society and the
NAA.
