Vitria to Showcase Telecommunications Integrated Order Management Solution at TeleManagement World 2005

    NICE, France, May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vitria (Nasdaq: VITR), a
leading provider of Business Process Integration solutions, will showcase
Vitria:OrderAccelerator(TM), its telecommunications integrated order
management solution at TeleManagement World (TMW) in Nice, May 17-19, 2005.

    Analysys, an independent research firm based in the UK, completed a study
for Vitria in which it surveyed more than 40 telecom operators in North
America and Europe and found that order management continues to present
significant challenges to them, particularly when introducing new products and
complex service bundles to customers.
    In the survey, 80 percent of the respondents indicated that further
improvements were necessary to the order-to-cash process in order to attain
competitive differentiation and better financial results.
    In addition, Analysys found that 60 percent of large and medium sized
operators are tracking and analysing order management standards, such as the
Enhanced Telecommunications Operations Map (eTOM) framework from the
TeleManagement Forum (TMF), as the basis of their order management approach;
however, only five percent are actively developing order management solutions
using these industry standards as they are waiting for fully tested solutions.
