Sunoco Issues 2004 Health, Environment and Safety Report

said today that it has issued its 2004 Health, Environment and Safety (HES)
Report, marking this as the thirteenth successive year that the Company has
publicly reported the results of its performance.  In 1993 Sunoco became the
first Fortune 500 company to endorse the Ceres Principles, a 10-point code of
environmental conduct that includes public reporting of environmental
performance.  Sunoco believes that excellence in health, environment and
safety performance go hand-in-hand with operations reliability and is a

    The Report provides detailed HES performance data for Sunoco's business
