Constellation Energy's R.E. Ginna Refueling Outage Complete

    ONTARIO, N.Y., May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy
(NYSE: CEG) today announced that the refueling outage at R.E. Ginna nuclear
power plant was completed at 6:08 p.m., May 11, 2008. The outage duration
was 20 days, 22 hours and 31 minutes.

In addition to standard refueling activities, Constellation Energy
plant staff replaced and inspected systems and equipment, as a proactive
measure, to ensure continued equipment safety and reliability. All final
inspections for continued safe operation under the renewed license were
completed, and regulatory required modification to the plants emergency
core cooling system was implemented.

"We began this outage after operating safely and reliably for 399
consecutive days," said John Carlin, vice president of R.E. Ginna Nuclear
Power Plant. "Our refueling and planned maintenance work is focused on not
only continuing, but increasing our margin of safety and level of
reliability."

Refueling outages are a key opportunity to ensure equipment reliability
and, in turn, capability factor-a plant's ability to stay on-line and
produce electricity. All three of Constellation Energy's nuclear power
plants operated above the 2007 national median capacity factor of 91.53
percent led by Ginna at 94.41 percent. The company's five nuclear units
produced 60.9 percent of the power the company generated in 2007.

company with 2007 revenues of $21 billion, is the nation's largest
competitive supplier of electricity to large commercial and industrial
customers and the nation's largest wholesale power seller. Constellation
Energy also manages fuels and energy services on behalf of energy intensive
industries and utilities. It owns a diversified fleet of 78 generating
units located throughout the United States, totaling approximately 8,700
megawatts of generating capacity. The company delivers electricity and
natural gas through the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), its
