LOS ANGELES, Electronic Entertainment Expo, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Today
Trygames.com, one of the Internet's fastest-growing game sites, revealed the
names of game titles recently made available for legitimate online download
Additionally the company has launched a 'Free Trial CD' offer for those who
want or need a hard copy of games either because of dial-up Internet access
limitations or for backup.
"Downloadable games are reaching a critical mass," said Gabe Zichermann,
VP of Strategy and Communications for Trygames' parent company Trymedia
Systems. "From casual to hardcore games -- with so many titles, it's easy for
consumers to find the games they like ... and try new ones too."
Trygames.com is host to a catalog of more than 300 downloadable games for
consumers to try, buy and share. All of Trygames offerings allow consumers to
easily backup games and use them on multiple computers. Shared games revert
to free trial mode with an opportunity for purchase upon completion of the
trial. The most recent additions include:
-- 5 Card Slingo Deluxe
-- Championship Snowboarding 2004
-- Dead Man's Hand
-- Law & Order II: Double or Nothing
-- Saturday Night Speedway
-- Scrabble Rack Attack
-- Skateboard Park Tycoon 2004 Back in the USA
-- Ski Resort Tycoon: Deep Powder
-- Snowboard Park Tycoon
-- Tough Trucks: Modified Monsters
As an alternative or backup to the downloadable format, Trygames has
launched a "Free Trial CD" program. The "bandwidth-challenged" can now order
a customized CD of game trials delivered to their home. Players pay only the
cost of shipping and handling. Up to 60 game trials will fit on each disk,
depending on the size of selected games. The site also has begun offering its
international customers game purchases in currencies including Canadian
Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, Australian Dollars, New Zealand Dollars and
Japanese Yen. Trygames is currently running a promotion offering 20% off a
second game purchase.
