Tonight ... there is Ugoff, the designer behind the pouch that
accompanies Burger King Corporation's new Fire-Grilled Salads.
New advertising from Burger King Corporation debuts tonight on the season-
ending episode of "Frasier" at 8 p.m. EDT. This advertising will feature the
exclusive web site address of Ugoff http://www.ugoff.com so that visitors can learn
the secrets behind Ugoff's genius and receive something for themselves in
return.
Visitors to the site will discover Ugoff's inspiration for the pouch that
has been specially designed to keep the fire-grilled shrimp and chicken
toppings hot, while the greens remain cool and crisp. Visitors also will be
treated to a preview of Ugoff's spring/summer 2004 collection, which includes
the new hot, hot ... haute ... BURGER KING(R) pouch. Additionally, the Ugoff
site features a link to a collection of Ugoffliments in which the designer
pays homage to those looking to "make love to the pouch." Those visiting will
receive a Ugoffliment -- the designer's own stylish compliment -- which he
says, "will make you feel fabulous." But the compliments don't stop there.
Customers visiting the site can sign up for personal Ugoffliments that will be
emailed to them each day.
With its new salads line, Burger King Corporation becomes the first
national fast food hamburger restaurant to offer fire-grilled shrimp. The
salads also are available with fire-grilled chicken.
The Garden salads are a mix of Iceberg, Romaine and Spring lettuce and are
also dressed with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, crunchy Parmesan toasts and
ripe grape tomatoes, baby carrots, cucumber slices and red onions. The Caesar
salads consist of a blend of fresh Iceberg and Romaine lettuce, freshly shaved
Parmesan cheese, ripe grape tomatoes and crunchy Parmesan toasts.
"Only Ugoff could turn a salad pouch into the hottest accompaniment to
summertime meals," said Russ Klein, chief marketing officer of Burger King
Corporation. "We expect people to embrace Ugoff as we have because of what he
has done to help bring freshness, sizzle and taste to our new salads."
