ANAHEIM, Calif., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Mayor Curt Pringle and city
officials joined Tiger Woods Learning Center President Gregory McLaughlin for
the topping out ceremony on Friday, May 13, celebrating a construction
tradition and marking a milestone in the facility's construction.
"We're very excited to see this tremendous facility take shape,"
McLaughlin said. "Today's celebration marks three years of project
development, and we're thrilled with our progress and look forward to
celebrating the completion."
Langdon Wilson is the architect of the 35,000-square-foot building, which
will feature a wireless environment and state-of-the-art technology focused on
innovative thinking and creative exploration.
"The Tiger Woods Learning Center is going to have a great impact on the
youth of Anaheim and their families," Mayor Curt Pringle said. "I'm delighted
to be here celebrating this milestone for this facility and for the community
of West Anaheim."
The Tiger Woods Learning Center, located in Anaheim, California, is a
youth educational facility that will feature seven classrooms, a computer lab,
multi-media center, a student lounge, a 250-seat auditorium and cafe.
Once completed, the TWLC will help thousands of students from diverse
backgrounds broaden their perspective of the world, explore their interests
and investigate new possibilities for the future. Day, after school and
weekend programs will focus on career exploration, character development and
