- Shareholders Ratify Both Proposals -

(NYSE: HSP), a leading global specialty pharmaceutical and medication
delivery company, today held its 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders in
Wilmington, Del. The agenda included votes on two proposals and a brief
update on the company's progress and strategy.

-- elected the following directors for three-year terms expiring in 2011:

-- ratified the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as Hospira's auditors
for 2008.
