GAINESVILLE, Fla., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- SantaFe HealthCare, the
parent company of several preeminent, health-related organizations in
Florida, today announced the appointment of Charles Phillips as Chief Audit
Executive.
Prior to his appointment, Phillips was Global Head of Internal Audit
for Arlington, Va.-headquartered Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Inc.
As SantaFe's chief auditor, Phillips will be responsible for managing
the effectiveness of corporate internal audit activities, to include risk
management, compliance, corporate assurance systems, as well as risk
exposures relating to governance, operations, financial, quality programs
and operating systems.
He will report directly to Mike Gallagher, SantaFe's President and
Chief Executive Officer.
"Charles brings the breadth of corporate assurance experience we need
to help propel SantaFe to the next level of excellence and financial
strength," Gallagher said. "He will also help contribute to our mission of
improving the health and well-being of Floridians."
Phillips has 31 years of auditing and risk management experience, much
of it in large U.S. and European multinational corporations. He is a
Certified Public Accountant with degrees from Missouri State University and
University of Maryland.
