Anadarko Contributes $5,000 to Salvation Army in Oklahoma City for Tornado Relief Efforts

    HOUSTON, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC)
today announced that the company is contributing $5,000 to the Salvation Army
in Oklahoma City to assist victims affected by last week's tornadoes.
    "On behalf of the employees of Anadarko, our company wanted to support the
Salvation Army in its efforts to help the victims of last week's terrible
storms," said Robert J. Allison, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Anadarko.  "Anadarko's history is closely linked to the state of Oklahoma
where we have been actively involved in oil and gas operations for nearly
40 years.  Oklahoma has played an important role in our company's growth over
the years and we want to help our neighbors during this difficult time."
