                        And Successful Implementation

NEW YORK, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, an
operating group of SunGard (NYSE: SDS), today announced that Overseas Union
Bank (OUB), Singapore's fourth largest bank, has gone live with Panorama,
SunGard's enterprise solution for integrated cross-asset trading market and
credit risk.
A premier consumer bank in Singapore and a leading regional bank, OUB
offers a full array of products and services to meet the needs of both
corporations and individuals. The bank has also successfully carved niches in
other activities such as treasury, fund management, corporate finance and
capital markets. It will use Panorama to achieve bank-wide market risk
analysis for fixed income, money market and equity instruments, and their
derivatives.
Panorama was selected for its proven functionality, and the flexibility of
its modular architecture. Panorama is easily integrated within institutions to
handle cross-asset trading, market and credit risk management based on a
scalable, real-time platform. Its modular architecture allows institutions to
roll out individual components making it easy to customize unique business
needs.
Mr. Gan Peng Hoei, Vice President & Head of Market Risk at OUB, said, "The
Panorama solution was an excellent match with OUB's portfolio and analytical
requirements, achieving all of our market risk requirements for bank-wide
market risk analysis. Integration with our existing trading and banking
systems was straightforward and we did not encounter any major issues that
could not be resolved in a short period of time."
Mr. Gan added, "Selecting a vendor with a demonstrable track record was a
key criteria in our evaluation process. More importantly, SunGard offered
strong local support and services throughout the implementation, and was able
to provide excellent global references. We were most impressed by the
commitment that SunGard brought to the project."
Peter Hutton, managing director of SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, Asia
Pacific, said, "What has pleased me most has been the positive and competent
approach to the project by the OUB and SunGard teams. Implementing a bank-wide
market risk management system requires excellent cooperation and understanding
between the teams. This has been a model implementation, it was completed
on-time and within budget. It gives me great confidence that SunGard is well
positioned to provide a range of trading and risk management solutions to the
leading banks in the Asia Pacific region."
