SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Siemens
Transportation Systems, Inc. (STS) announced the appointment of Wayne S.
Williams and James R. Egnot as directors of marketing and business development
for the western states, and southern and midwestern states, respectively.
Mr. Williams and Mr. Egnot will be responsible for all primary customer
interface and key account management in their respective regions with all
transit, commuter, intercity and freight-rail customers across the entire
product spectrum of Siemens Transportation Systems, including signaling/train
control, telecommunications, electrification, rolling stock and turnkey
systems.
Wayne Williams comes to Siemens with over 25 years of experience in both
engineering and marketing and sales in the freight railroad and transit
industries. He was most recently affiliated with ALSTOM Transport as
director of business development-transit (USA), and also as vice president of
business development, western region for Parsons Transportation Group. Mr.
Williams' territory includes all states west of the Mississippi River.
James Egnot has joined STS as its director of marketing and business
development responsible for the southern and midwestern states. Mr. Egnot
brings 25 years of expertise in various aspects of train control systems, from
solid-state interlocking development to large-scale operations control center
project management, as well as the associated strategic and tactical
marketing. His last position was technology marketing leader for GE
Transportation Systems, Global Signaling. He has held senior management
positions at GE Harris Railway Electronics, Parsons Transportation Group, and
Union Switch and Signal.
