ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPO (E3), LOS ANGELES, May 14
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide
leader in visual processing solutions, and Contraband Entertainment, Inc.
today unveiled Abducted, a new PC game that wraps cutting-edge technology
around a harrowing science fiction storyline to deliver an engaging cinematic
gaming experience. Debuting at this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo,
Abducted takes advantage of the ultimate gaming platform-PCs powered by

Abducted relies on technology features and effects enabled by the GeForce
FX family of GPUs to engulf gamers in a dark and mysterious alien world. Based
on a proprietary 3D engine developed by Contraband Entertainment, Abducted
harnesses the rich feature set and raw performance of GeForce FX and the Cg
high-level shader language to create state-of-the-art real-time lighting,
dynamic shadowing, and advanced rendering techniques never before seen.
"NVIDIA's UltraShadow technology enabled by GeForce FX GPUs has allowed us
to create the look and feel of Abducted exactly how we envisioned it," said
Bill Heineman, principal of Contraband Entertainment. "We're pleased to have
teamed with NVIDIA to mark the first public showing of Abducted."
"We've been working closely with the team at Contraband to ensure they are
able to achieve their artistic vision for Abducted and have been wowed by the
results," said Bill Rehbock, director of developer relations at NVIDIA. "With
GeForce FX and software tools such as Cg, developers are able to create
intense visual effects unique for PC gaming and catapult us into the new
cinematic gaming era."
Abducted is currently on display this week in the NVIDIA booth (South Hall
1636) at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. A publisher for the title has not
yet been announced. For more information about Abducted, log on to
