Pinnacle Systems Partners With LEGO to Inspire Young Movie-Makers

     Pinnacle Systems' Award Winning Studio Software Adapted for Children

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 15 /PRNewswire/ --
Pinnacle Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCLE), a leader in digital video and
production solutions, today announced a partnership with the LEGO(R) company.
Pinnacle Systems and LEGO are working together to develop the fun and
easy-to-use video editing software which will be bundled with the LEGO Studios
movie making product for children
    Pinnacle Systems is adapting its award-winning Studio video editing
software to meet the unique requirements of playfulness and ease of use
required for the LEGO Studios product. In addition, Pinnacle Systems and LEGO
are jointly developing an inexpensive USB camcorder interface which will be
bundled with the LEGO Studios software to allow kids to use their family's
camcorder to expand their movie making creativity. With the Pinnacle Systems
camcorder interface, kids will be able to use their camcorder to film family
and friends and incorporate this footage into their LEGO movies.

November 2000, and worldwide in April 2001.
