Kids Sense Internet Site Designed to Broaden School Children's Knowledge
Of Government, Economics and Personal Finances
State Controller Kathleen Connell will unveil via a live Webcast,
Kids Sense, a unique interactive Web site learning experience. The site
encourages school children ages 8 through 13 to expand their knowledge in
areas of government, economics and personal finances.
Connell will give young students in a Los Angeles area classroom a tour of
her new Web site and conduct online chats with students statewide.
Registration begins on May 16, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. for those interested in
logging onto our Kids Sense live Webcast, at
http://webevents.broadcast.com/sco/kids . If you miss the registration, you
can still log on May 17, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. to the live Webcast at the
previously mentioned Web site address.
