Bynari CEO to Present Vision for Company's Growth at Venture Capital Conference

DALLAS, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Bynari Inc. today announced that it will be
among the select group of Texas growth companies to present at the 2001 Texas
Venture Capital Conference in Austin on May 16, 2001. Bynari, based in
Dallas, designs, develops and markets software products which connect
Linux/UNIX and Microsoft(TM) platforms with advanced Internet Standards-based
messaging, e-mail and collaboration capabilities.
Founded in April 1999, Bynari focused on developing unified communications
software to satisfy the critical market need for UNIX/Linux client and server
products that interoperate with Microsoft's Outlook and Exchange Server. The
demand for these products is the driving force behind Bynari's new Insight
product line. Companies such as Winnebago, JCPenney, Intel, Equant, Agere
Systems, Motorola, and EDS are currently evaluating Bynari's desktop and
server products which were introduced earlier this year.
"Reliable mail and messaging capabilities are critical to success in
today's enterprise," said Mike O'Dell, President and CEO of Bynari. "Our
Insight products offer a viable and cost-effective alternative to other
popular messaging solutions. For example, our new Insight Server delivers
much higher levels of scalability and availability than Microsoft's Exchange
server, on platforms ranging from Intel-based servers to IBM S/390 and zSeries
enterprise servers. We are forecasting strong growth as enterprises recognize
the total cost of ownership benefits of our solution and the productivity
gains inherent in integrating their Microsoft community with their Linux/UNIX
community."
Bynari's Insight client, for the desktop PC user, is similar to
Microsoft(TM) Outlook and allows Linux and UNIX users to connect and
collaborate with Windows(TM) users. Insight Server allows Microsoft(TM)
Outlook and UNIX-based messaging clients to interoperate and collaborate
efficiently and effectively using a high availability server based on Internet
standards.
The Company's Insight products provide workgroup interaction solutions for
large enterprises, small to mid-sized businesses, and the application service
provider (ASP) and application hosting market segments. The products are
supported on a range of operating systems including most versions of Linux,
Sun Solaris, and other popular versions of UNIX. Bynari sells the Insight
product line directly to national accounts and over the Internet, through a
channel of value added resellers, and through partnerships with companies such
as IBM and Compaq.
