NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- This week DiversityInc named
Allstate Insurance Company as the No. 1 company for African Americans in the
United States, particularly for those who want to rise in management
positions. DiversityInc also named Allstate Insurance Company to the "Top 50
Companies for Diversity" list in April. DiversityInc based its findings on
data from companies that submitted questionnaires. DiversityInc is a
publication and Web site that reports on diversity issues.

-- in management, 11.8%
-- and in the top 50 highest paid employees, 8%
