AmeriServ Financial, the $1.2 billion banking subsidiary of
AmeriServ Financial, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASRV), today celebrates the grand opening
of the bank's second State College Office. The office is located at the
corner of Benner Pike and Shiloh Road, at 763 Benner Pike. Seven-day-a-week
banking remains an AmeriServ tradition and the newest office will have service
hours Monday through Sunday, in addition to drive-up banking and ATM services.

AmeriServ shares the office complex at the corner of Benner Pike and
Shiloh Road with the recently opened Sheetz convenience store. AmeriServ's
first full-service banking office at 734 South Atherton Street was opened in
2001. The newest State College location is perfect for busy consumers who
value convenience and seven-day service, according to AmeriServ Senior Vice
President of Retail Banking and Marketing, Dan Hummel.

The latest AmeriServ office will employ seven banking service
professionals according to Hummel. AmeriServ Financial's banking hours at both
State College offices are weekdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to
Noon, and Sundays from Noon to 3 p.m.
AmeriServ Financial operates 23 full-service banking offices in Centre,
Dauphin, Cambria, Somerset, Westmoreland, and Allegheny counties. In addition
