With support for up to four Intel 700MHz Xeon processors featuring 1MB and
2MB cache options and up to 16GB of ECC SDRAM, the 8400 Server delivers

8400 meets immediate and future computing needs. High-performance 64-
bit/66MHz slots provide high data bandwidth, enabling the server to offer I/O

Critical fault-tolerant features, including up to three redundant,
load-balancing, hot-swappable power supplies; redundant, hot-swappable fans
and ten RAID-ready hot-swap supported drive bays make the 8400 Server a highly

six expansion slots are Hot Plug PCI ready, allowing cards to be added or
replaced without the need to power down the server. The 8400 Server supports
up to ten 36GB Ultra160 hot swappable hard drives (supported with RAID option)

can be used as boot or mirrored boot drives, DLT or tape backup units for
greater flexibility. HP(R) OpenView(TM) ManageX Event Manager, standard with
all Gateway 8400 servers, provides robust server health monitoring and event

provides easy access to critical components, greatly reducing the downtime
required for maintenance. A set of external LED provides system
administrators with an at-a-glance status, while the lockable front bezel and
