OTTAWA, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company has appointed David
O'Blenis as president, Raytheon Systems Canada Ltd.
From his offices in Ottawa, Canada, O'Blenis will serve as the company's
principal interface with Canadian defense and other government agency
customers. He joins Raytheon from Honeywell Canada, where he was president
and chairman of Honeywell companies in Canada. Prior to assuming those
positions, he was president, AlliedSignal Aerospace Canada and chairman
AlliedSignal companies in Canada.
From 1997 to 1999 O'Blenis served as vice president, Business Development
and Government Affairs for AlliedSignal Aerospace Canada. He joined
AlliedSignal in 1995 as the regional director of Canadian Programs for
AllliedSignal. Prior to that time he served as the deputy commander in chief,
North American Air Defense Command, Colorado Springs, Colo., capping a career
in the Canadian Armed Forces.
O'Blenis currently is the chair, Canadian NATO Industrial Advisory Group
(NIAG); co-chair, Defense Industrial Advisory Group; co-chair, NIAG
International Defense Industrial Ad Hoc Working group; and, executive director
of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada.
