Startech Environmental Signs Two $140 Million Contracts for Municipal Solid Waste Processing Facilities in Poland

  Startech's Plasma Converter Systems Used to Convert Waste into Green Power

    WILTON, Conn., May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/-- Startech Environmental
Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: STHK), a fully reporting company, today
announced two $140 million contracts for Municipal Solid Waste processing
facilities in Poland. The contracts call for Plasma Converter Systems that
will be used to produce green power from a variety of waste materials.
Production will commence upon the completion of the financing, now in
progress, and the receipt of down payments for each of the two contracts.
    The first contract was made with the team of the Eco Group of America,
Inc., of Princeton, N.J., and Conseil Development Alpha Ltd. of Warsaw,
Poland. This contract calls for a 300 ton-per-day Plasma Converter System to
process Municipal Solid Waste, hazardous waste, tires and medical waste on a
designated site in Skierbreszow, Poland.
    The second contract was made with the team of the Eco Group of America,
Inc. and Petro Nova Ltd. of Karlino, Poland. This contract calls for a 300
ton-per-day Plasma Converter System to process Municipal Solid Waste,
hazardous waste, tires and medical waste on a designated site in Karlino,
Poland.
