Natrecor to Be Reviewed by Cardiovascular and Renal Drugs Advisory Committee
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Scios Inc. (Nasdaq: SCIO)
announced that Nasdaq has halted trading of Scios common stock today, Friday,
May 25, 2001. The trading halt is due to the review of the Natrecor(R)
(nesiritide) New Drug Application by the Cardiovascular and Renal Drugs
Advisory Committee to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Natrecor
is currently under FDA review for the treatment of acute congestive heart
failure. The FDA is expected to complete its review of the Natrecor
application by July of 2001.
Following today's Advisory Committee review, Scios will host a conference
call and webcast to discuss the results of the meeting. The conference call
