AirBoss Enterprise Wireless Data Services Extend Geoworks' Leadership Position

ALAMEDA, Calif., May 15 /PRNewswire/ --
Geoworks Corporation (Nasdaq: GWRX), a pioneer in wireless data communications
services and technologies, today announced it has reached an agreement to
acquire AirBoss(TM) Wireless Systems from Telcordia Technologies, Inc., an
SAIC company. AirBoss Wireless Systems encompasses a suite of patented mobile
communications software products and consulting services that provide enhanced
wireless access to corporate data over a wide variety of wireless networks and
computing devices. Both parties expect the deal to close within the next
30 days, subject to due diligence, definitive documentation, and regulatory
consents customary to this type of transaction.

The AirBoss acquisition will give Geoworks ownership of the developed
AirBoss products, which have been deployed in numerous revenue generating
customer solutions around the world. Also Geoworks will acquire engineering
and marketing forces as well as five key wireless data patents, which will
complement Geoworks' recently launched intellectual property licensing
program.
