CHICAGO, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Endorex Corporation (Amex: DOR) announced
today that Kenneth F. Tempero, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., has been elected as the
new Chairman of its Board of Directors. Tempero has been a member of
Endorex's board of directors since September 1996. The position of Chairman
has been open at Endorex since February, 1998 when the founder of the Company,
Gerald Vosika, M.D., resigned.
Dr. Tempero is the principal of a consulting practice to the
pharmaceutical and medical device industries and is a board member of SPRI
Medical and Rehab in Northbrook, Illinois and Empi, Inc. a medical device
company in St. Paul, Minnesota. His extensive experience in the
pharmaceutical and biotech industries spans several major companies. During
the period from 1987 to 1996, Dr. Tempero was Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer for MGI PHARMA, INC., a publicly traded biotech company in
Minneapolis. Prior to MGI, he held several senior R&D management positions,
including Senior Vice President, Research and Development at G.D. Searle from
1983 to 1987 and Executive Director, Clinical Research for Merck's
International Division from 1973 to 1983. Dr. Tempero received a B.S. in
Chemistry at the University of Nebraska in 1961, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D.
in Pharmacology, and his M.D. in Medicine and Surgery at Northwestern
University in Chicago in 1964, 1966, and 1967, respectively. He completed a
straight medical internship at Cincinnati General Hospital in 1968 and a
residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis
in 1972, and was a NIH Special Research Fellow in 1972-73. Dr. Tempero also
served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, during the period 1969-1971, and served
to the rank of Major, and was Chief of Medicine at the 27th MASH, Chu Lai,
Vietnam and at 3rd MASH, Binh Thuy, Vietnam. He received a M.B.A. in
Pharmaceutical Marketing at Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1981. He has
also served as Lecturer in Pharmacology at Northwestern University,
Instructor, Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota,
and Visiting Physician at Rockefeller University in New York and Drew
University in Los Angeles. Dr. Tempero has been a member of the American
College of Physicians, the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology &
Therapeutics, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the
Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association. He is the author of 63 scientific
publications.

Endorex also announced that Rickey Wilson, M.D., J.D. is resigning his
position of Executive Vice President, Clinical Development and Regulatory
Affairs of Endorex effective June 1, to pursue a position as Vice-President,
Clinical Research with the Robert Wood Johnson Pharmaceutical Research
Institute of Johnson & Johnson. "Rick Wilson has been instrumental in adding
to the progress of Endorex's oncology program over the last year and a half,
and we are grateful for his contribution and efforts," said Rosen.
Endorex Corporation is a drug delivery and a cancer products company. The

licensed from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is being developed
for the oral delivery of vaccines, proteins and peptides. Endorex has two
