Korea Long Term Credit Bank Goes Live on Infinity's Panorama for Trading And Risk Management

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Infinity, a SunGard company
(NYSE: SDS), today announced that the Korea Long Term Credit Bank (KLB) has
gone live with its Panorama trading and risk management system.
The successful implementation at KLB, which is one of the largest banks in
Korea, demonstrates Infinity's increasing momentum in the Asia-Pacific region.
Infinity is a leading provider of enterprise applications for trading, risk
management and operations.
KLB selected Infinity's Panorama trading and risk management system for
front-office trade pricing and capture, trade processing and desk-level
portfolio market risk analysis at the Bank's headquarters in Seoul. The Bank
uses the system to process interest rate and FX derivatives, FX/MM instruments
and bonds.
Panorama interfaces with KLB's existing FX/MM trading system, enabling
position keeping and risk analysis in real-time. Panorama runs on the
Microsoft Windows NT platform, using a Microsoft SQL database server.
David Jones, general manager of Infinity's Japan and Korea operations,
said: "KLB is a prestigious, forward-thinking bank and we are pleased to work
in partnership with them as we launch Panorama in Korea. The Bank has been
clear about its functional requirements and time scales, which has paved the
way for successful project management. We look forward to continuing to
partner with KLB to achieve their desired competitive edge."
Mr. G.M. Song of the International Treasury Department at KLB added:
"We needed a highly-functional trading, risk management and trade processing
system that was quick to implement. Panorama provides us with a suite of
applications and a flexible platform that will enable us to react more quickly
to market opportunities. Infinity's commitment to this project and to the
Korean market is a source of re-assurance for us."
KLB selected Panorama to increase the Bank's ability to respond promptly
to market changes and to reduce processing costs. Panorama will help eliminate
time-consuming tasks and the costly risk of error inherent in paper-based
trading systems.
Assisting with the implementation of Panorama at KLB is Seoul-based KCC
Information and Communication, a company specializing in systems integration
for Korean banks. "Infinity business partner KCC has an in-depth knowledge of
derivatives and banking systems and has added significant value to the
project," said Jones.
