than just their sweaters this summer with 25% off room rates at nearly
300 hotels in North America. Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Westin Hotels &
Resorts and Four Points Hotels by Sheraton are featuring Preferred Getaways at
their hotels in the U.S. and Canada with rates starting as low as $49 per
night between now and September 10, 2000.
Travelers who plan their trips 14 days in advance can save 25% off already
low summer rates, and guests who use their American Express(R) Card to pay for
Preferred Getaways will receive late 4 p.m. checkout, enabling them to extend
their summer break. Travel must be booked by August 27, 2000.
From Savannah to San Francisco and the Caribbean to the Hawaiian Islands,
Preferred Getaways feature great rates in North America's top city and resort
destinations. Sample rates include: $49 at Four Points Hotel Cherry Creek
near Denver; $69 at Sheraton El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Tucson
and Sheraton Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and $89 at The
Westin Grand in Washington DC and The Westin Mission Hills Resort in Palm
Springs.
Summer travelers can also take advantage of another great offer, "Free
Weekends" from Starwood Preferred Guest, Starwood's frequent guest program,
and American Express. "Free Weekends" allows Starwood Preferred Guest members
who stay five nights at Sheraton, Westin, Four Points and other Starwood
Preferred Guest hotels to earn two Free Fridays between now and
August 31, 2000. If they stay ten nights during the same period, members will
automatically receive two Free Saturdays -- meaning that members who stay for
ten nights get members two entire weekends for free. To earn "Free Weekends,"
members must pay for all stays with the American Express Card. "Free
Weekends" are redeemable at participating hotels from June 2 through
September 16, 2000.
