Raytheon Aerospace Wins U.S. Air Force Contract

    MADISON, Miss., May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Aerospace Company has been
awarded a one-year, $6.8 million contract with the U.S. Air Force to provide
total Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for T-38C, AT-38 and T-6A trainer
aircraft at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. With the exercise of six one-year
options, the potential value of this contract would be $56.8 million.
    Raytheon Aerospace will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of 67 T-38
aircraft and 40 T-6A aircraft flying more than 3,000 hours annually by 2002.
The T-38 aircraft will be used to train recent pilot training graduates en
route to fighter operations. The T-6A Texan II is the newest Air Force trainer
aircraft and the Moody AFB operation will be the first opportunity for pilot
candidates to fly the aircraft.
    This contract is under the direction of Air Education and Training Command
(AETC), Randolph AFB, Texas.
