(Nasdaq: WWIN), a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, today
announced Harrell J. "Jim" Auten, III as Vice President of Sales and
Marketing, effective June 13, 2005. Mr. Auten will report directly to Waste
Industries' Chief Executive Officer Jim W. Perry. For the past 12 years, Mr.
Auten has served as a Waste Industries' Vice President and its South Division
Manager. Prior to that, Mr. Auten owned and operated his own solid waste
company. Mr. Auten holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has approximately 34 years
experience in the solid waste industry.
