COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Beth E. Mooney has been named
Chairman, President and CEO of Bank One, NA for Ohio, it was announced by John
B. McCoy, President of BANK ONE CORPORATION (NYSE: ONE). Mooney will also
serve as a member of the bank's Board of Directors.
Mooney returns to BANK ONE with an extensive financial background through
her experience in banking and real estate. She has been Chief Operating
Officer of DPL Inc. and its principal subsidiary, The Dayton Power and Light
Company, an electric and natural gas utility serving 24 counties in West
Central Ohio. Prior to joining DPL, she held a several senior positions at
BANK ONE CORPORATION over a five-year period. Mooney served as Executive Vice
President in charge of Commercial Real Estate for BANK ONE's Ohio and Kentucky
region, as President of the Akron market and as Chairman of the Dayton market
for Bank One, NA.
Earlier in her career, Mooney was a senior officer of multi-billion dollar
financial and corporate banking institutions, such as Citicorp Real Estate in
Washington, D.C., Resource Savings Association in Dallas and First Republic
Bank in Dallas. Mooney earned her M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist
University in Dallas and a B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mooney was an active member of the Dayton community where she had been a
member of the Area Progress Council, the Dayton Business Committee, the
Downtown Dayton Partnership, the Miami Valley Economic Development Coalition,
and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
