'Scholarship for DAC Alumni Between Employment'
Granted to Qualified Engineers to Attend DAC
BOULDER, Colo., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The 41st Design Automation
Conference (DAC) has awarded 20 engineering scholarships to qualified
engineers without personal resources or corporate support to attend this
year's conference, it was announced today. This is an increase over the
15 scholarships that was previously announced. Recipients have industry
experience ranging from one year to 26 years, the average being 13 years of
design automation experience.
The "Scholarship for DAC Alumni Between Employment" was implemented this
year and awarded by lottery. Scholarships, valued at approximately $400 each,
do not include transportation and housing.
DAC will be held Monday, June 7, through Friday, June 11, at the San Diego
Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. Pre-conference registration has
closed. On-site registration at the San Diego Convention Center opens
Sunday, June 6, at 8:30 a.m. Conference registration is $410 for members of
ACM or IEEE and $525 for non-members. For more details, visit the DAC website
