Blanc & Otus Names New General Manager of Atlanta Office

      Steve McAbee to Lead Premier Technology Public Relations Agency's
                             Southeast Operations

    ATLANTA, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Blanc & Otus today announced that
Steve McAbee has been named general manager to lead the technology public
relations agency's Atlanta office.  McAbee brings 17 years of agency and
corporate communications experience, including posts with blue-chip companies
Lucent, MCI, and AT&T.  He replaces office co-founders Beverly McDonald and
Peter Baron.
    "Steve brings a wealth of experience developing and managing
communications programs and brand strategies," said Greg Spector, Blanc & Otus
president and CEO.  "He has a proven track record of building solid
relationships with clients, as made evident in his former role at Blanc & Otus
as a vice president in the Atlanta office.  I'm confident that Steve is the
leader with the right mix of skills and experience to take our office in
Atlanta to great success."
    In his new position, McAbee is charged with managing the growth of the
Atlanta office, as well as overall management and leadership of client account
teams, client relationships and operations.

Technologies, VistaScape Security Systems, BroadWare, Vector Networks, and
Quantum Loyalty Systems.
    Prior to joining B&O, Steve served as vice president of public relations
at Trellis Photonics, an optical networking start-up in Columbia, Maryland.
Before that, Steve held numerous posts with Lucent Technologies, including
serving as public relations director for the company's $6 billion global fiber
optic manufacturing business.
    At MCI, Steve led the media relations effort behind the company's launch
into the local telephone services market, successfully executing both
business-to-business and business-to-consumer communications plans.  He also
held various communications positions at AT&T Network Systems, including a
management role in the company's sponsorship of major events, such as the
1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
