PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Lora Gier has been tapped
as Vice President, Integrated Partnerships, Taste of Home, it was announced
by Suzanne M. Grimes, President, Food & Entertaining, The Reader's Digest
Association, Inc. She will be based in Chicago.
"Taste of Home has tremendous consumer appeal and Lora will play an
important role in developing new opportunities for marketers to connect
with this strong brand," said Grimes. "Her creativity and particular sales
expertise are what we need to take Taste of Home to the next level."
In this new position, Gier will be responsible for leveraging the Taste
of Home brand by integrating advertising, licensing, custom publishing and
sponsorships across all assets in the Taste of Home portfolio. She will
work closely with the editorial, consumer marketing and sales teams at
Taste of Home to establish meaningful ways to incorporate appropriate
partners. At the same time, Gier will work closely with RDA's newly created
Food & Entertaining Integrated Sales and Marketing team in New York on
including Taste of Home with RDA's other food assets -- Every Day with
Rachael Ray and allrecipes.com.
Gier joins Taste of Home from Conde Nast Publications (CNP) where she
spent the last 10 years as Corporate Sales Director, responsible for the
corporate sales and marketing programs of all CNP print and digital
properties. In this capacity, Gier worked with major clients including
Proctor & Gamble, Altria/Kraft, Citibank, McDonalds, Target, JC Penny,
Unilever and Sears. Prior to her role at CNP, she spent five years managing
the Midwest sales office of their flagship magazine, Vogue. Before that,
she held key sales management positions at Globe Media (Worth magazine,
American Park Network and Your Company), Esquire, Outside, Spectrum
Television and IT Subscription Television.
