Selection builds on previous decision to use Agere's network processors in another type of wireless infrastructure equipment CHICAGO, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NEC, extending its business relationship with Agere Systems (NYSE: AGR), has selected the Agere Systems APP300 (Advanced Payload Plus(R)) series network processor-based platform offerings for use in NEC's third-generation (3G) wireless network equipment.
