Association's annual congress will take place September 9-12th in San
Francisco, CA at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. The event has more than 40
exhibitors and up to 1,000 attendees from over 30 countries. The event is
sponsored by more than six countries and will have speakers from
organizations such as CIGNA, UnitedHealthcare, Assurant, American Medical
Association, Cleveland Clinic and Harvard Medical. The Keynote Speaker will
be Alex Piper, a former buyer of healthcare for Chrysler (formerly

The conference will have a primary focus of the integration of medical
tourism into health insurance for both fully insured and self funded
employers. Attendees will include health insurance carriers, employers,
health insurance agents who are interested in implementing medical tourism
into their health plans. Over 100 employers and insurance companies have
already implemented medical tourism and have started to send employees
overseas for healthcare achieving discounts as high as 90% on major
surgeries.
