CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Biogen, Inc. (Nasdaq: BGEN) today announced the conclusion of its
collaboration with ICOS Corporation to develop LFA-1
(Leukocyte Function-associated Antigen-1) antagonists. IC747, an orally
administered LFA-1 antagonist, was designed to interfere with T-cell
activation and leukocyte trafficking by inhibiting the binding of LFA-1 to its
ligand. Biogen and ICOS were studying IC747 as a possible oral therapeutic
for the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
