Agreement Provides for Streamlined Administration and Significant Licensing
Discounts for Dental Benefit Companies Who Choose AHIP
WASHINGTON, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- America's Health Insurance Plans
(AHIP) and the American Dental Association (ADA) today announced that they
have agreed to a multi-year Current Dental Terminology (CDT) licensing
agreement on behalf of AHIP members. The ADA agreement with AHIP will
provide AHIP members with a 20-30% discount.

AHIP on its own is offering additional incentives that will provide a
combined discount of up to 40% in a program offered to its members directly
by AHIP. This agreement will streamline the administration and processing
of such licenses for both the ADA and AHIP members.
"AHIP's membership and business teams are always seeking out the best
possible offerings for our members," said AHIP President and CEO Karen
Ignagni. "This new agreement with the ADA to support the CDT system,
coupled with AHIP's own, separate, incentive program, shows a new level of
cooperation through which only AHIP members will be able to receive such
attractive rates for the ADA's dental coding resources," she continued.
"AHIP's extensive experience in the dental benefits industry and
longstanding relationship with the ADA are designed to provide maximum
savings for dental benefit companies who choose AHIP for membership and
representation."
A supplementary benefit of the agreement allows for the purchase of
hard copies of the American Dental Association's CDT Books from AHIP at a
discount of 33% off the cover price.
"We are very pleased to have formed this relationship with AHIP and
look forward to working with them," said Dr. James Bramson, ADA Executive
Director. "Our ability to work with AHIP in this licensing agreement will
help ensure the accurate administration and processing of dental claims."
