Westinghouse's Cheryl Boggess Elected President of Women in Nuclear Global

    MONROEVILLE, Pa., June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheryl Boggess has been
elected President of Women in Nuclear Global (WiN Global), a non-profit
worldwide organization of women working professionally in various fields of
nuclear energy and radiation applications. Ms. Boggess is an employee of
Westinghouse Electric Company, where she is currently a Senior Project
Manager and Principal Engineer with over 28 years of engineering experience
in the commercial nuclear power industry. Her term runs through 2012.

    WiN's goal is to make the public, especially women, aware of the
benefits of nuclear and radiation applications and of the safety that
ensures protection of the public and the environment. There are currently
more than 2,800 WiN Global members, representing 68 countries.

    In commenting on her position within WiN, Ms. Boggess said, "This is
truly an exciting time for the nuclear industry. In many ways, we are
experiencing a rebirth across the spectrum of nuclear technologies, and I'm
looking forward to working with the worldwide community of WiN members to
communicate the many positive aspects of nuclear technologies."

    Michele DeWitt, vice president of Westinghouse Repair Replacement and
Automation Services, said that the members of the Westinghouse WiN chapter
are proud of the contributions Ms. Boggess has made to all levels of the
WiN organization. "Cheryl is ideally suited for this role, and she has the
distinction of being the first American to lead the WiN Global
organization," said DeWitt, who is also the corporate sponsor for the
Westinghouse WiN organization.

    Ms. Boggess has been a member of WiN since 2001 when she was the
founding chair of the Westinghouse Pittsburgh WiN chapter. She has just
completed her term as the U.S. representative to the WiN Global Board and
is a member of the WiN Global Executive Committee through 2014.
