MILPITAS, Calif., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Credence Systems Corporation
(Nasdaq: CMOS) today announced that it will exhibit at the Design Automation
Conference (DAC), which will take place from June 7-10, 2004, in San Diego,
California. The conference is the premier Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
and silicon solution event and features technical sessions with the latest
design methodologies and tools, along with an exhibit floor and demo suites.
As integrated circuit (IC) designs migrate to the sub-0.13 5m range,
modeling device behavior has become more challenging, highlighting the
importance of physical design debug and failure analysis. With its recent
acquisition of NPTest, Credence expands its diagnostic and characterization
solutions, accelerating advanced semiconductor products transition from
concept to yield. These unique design-to-test tools dramatically shorten the
time to high volume manufacturing, maximizing critical profit opportunities.
At DAC 2004, Credence will demonstrate how test and photon probing systems can
be integrated with a design-for-test (DFT) fault-modeling environment to
address next-generation design validation challenges. Credence will showcase
the following solutions and services in Booths #4743 and #2038:
-- A designer-driven solution for physical timing measurement using an
automatic test program generation (ATPG) fault model-based navigation and
remote access to physical probing equipment.
-- EmiScope(R)-II: Featuring a Solid Immersion Lens (SIL), the
EmiScope-II provides transistor-level backside analysis of complex IC designs
with both flip-chip and wire bond packaging technologies and increased number
of metal layers. The system's high-speed acquisition and data processing
capabilities enable semiconductor manufacturers to quickly perform design
debug, failure analysis and characterization, improving time-to-market and
lowering device development costs.
-- IREM: The IREM line encompasses backside infrared microscopes that
utilize MCT and InGaAs detectors and high NA IR optics optimized for
photoemission and thermal emission applications. The IREM wafer prober is
also available for wafers up to 300 mm, and is used for yield enhancement
projects using wafer form measurements.
-- IDS OptiFIB(R): Providing a new standard for accuracy, efficiency and
versatility, the IDS OptiFIB is a focused ion beam (FIB) system for IC circuit
editing. The system is ideally suited for front-side and backside editing on
ICs manufactured with complex processes using copper, low-k dielectric, SOI
and the increasing number of metal layers.
-- SABER(R): The pioneer service provider in the semiconductor industry,
SABER offers a broad range of design validation, product and test engineering
services to significantly improve time-to-market. Additionally, SABER offers
services to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product yields.
