Store Showcases New Interior Design With Easy Access to Office and School
Supplies and Copy/Print Center
ITASCA, Ill., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- OfficeMax(R), one of the nation's
largest office supply retailers, will celebrate the grand opening of its new
Bayamon, Puerto Rico superstore on Sunday, June 13. The 18,000-square-foot
OfficeMax store located at PR 167 Avenue Las Cumbres; Highway 199 in the
Rexville Towne Center provides a one-stop shop for all office-related needs.
The store will employ 30 full- and part-time associates and is the ninth
OfficeMax store to open in Puerto Rico.
The first 100 customers in the store on June 13 and 14 will receive free
gift bags filled with store merchandise. Radio station WZNT-FM will broadcast
live from the store on Monday, June 14 from noon until 2 p.m. The station will
have giveaways and live call-ins. From June 13-19, in-store customers will be
able to see product demonstrations by Hewlett Packard. In addition, Lexmark
will demonstrate products from June 21-26.

The OfficeMax superstore features comprehensive services and a new store
design to help customers find what they need quickly and easily, including:

printing, color copying and desktop publishing.
-- FurnitureMax(SM), featuring a wide variety of ready-to-assemble office
furniture and a design assistance center.
-- New store interior design, more product signage and lower sight lines,
allowing shoppers to see where they want to go as they enter the
store.
-- Products arranged by categories, making browsing easier.
-- MaxInstall(TM), providing professional computer installation service.
Customers will find that OfficeMax employees are outfitted with wireless
headsets and can answer questions about products or services, thanks to direct
communication with information resources. OfficeMax calls this "boundless
service" -- providing faster and better customer service without departmental
boundaries.
The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. OfficeMax has named
Elias Muniz as the store's general manager.
