LONDON, June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CSG Systems (Nasdaq: CSGS), a

Settlements.

The future-ready CSG solution has replaced the home-grown legacy system at
sunrise, enabling it to efficiently manage its content partner relationships,
reducing time and costs.
sunrise provides fixed-line, Internet and mobile phone service to its
2.2 million customers across Switzerland and currently offers over
6,000 content services, such as premium phone numbers, from approximately
300 content providers. Over the next few months, sunrise plans to extend its
mobile content strategy by launching premium text and multi-media messaging
services (SMS and MMS) followed by streaming content, such as music and movie
clips.
CSG Kenan(R) Revenue Settlements underpins all of these current content
services, enabling sunrise to attract more diverse content partners and
effectively manage the increasingly complex payout agreements. In addition,
sunrise is now able to provide its partners who offer content services for
both fixed and mobile customers with a single statement, clearly stating the
specific revenue generated from each network service.
CSG Kenan Revenue Settlements was seamlessly integrated with sunrises'
existing billing system -- CSG Kenan(R)/BP and CRM applications with minimal
CSG support.
sunrise has already witnessed immediate benefits from the implementation
of its new CSG partner management system, reducing the overall processing time
required to produce partner statements from 3 days to 0.5 days. Improved
software performance and fewer operational errors have been experienced as a
result of the precise and accurate nature of the new solution as well as a
reduction in operational costs, enabling sunrise to also produce a final
partner invoice (PDF format) in only 45 minutes.
With the Swiss digital content market set to boom, sunrise is in a prime
position to take advantage of this opportunity by anticipating and fulfilling
its customers' requirements and generating new revenue.
"Our implementation of CSG Kenan Revenue Settlements allowed us to replace
a home grown solution with a best of breed standard software. The new
solution is so feature rich that it easily covers our current requirements
both for wireline and mobile content providers, and we are confident that it
will just as easily cover future complexity increases in this fast moving
area," said Simon Pasquier, IT Billing Director, at sunrise. "Having at the
same time optimized our operations to a very high quality standard and
implemented a highly flexible building block, we are ideally positioned as a
partner to negotiate demanding revenue settlement agreements with content
providers, and to deliver on the expectations."
CSG Kenan(R) Revenue Settlements is a convergent settlement solution for
wireless, wireline, IP services and broadband providers, which allows the
effective management of financial settlements and relationships with value-add
suppliers, such as content providers. As telecom service providers offer
their subscribers a greater variety of content from different sources, the
requirement for partnerships and innovative revenue sharing agreements will
become essential. CSG's Kenan Revenue Settlements solution addresses this
need by automating the revenue-sharing process between the service provider
and its partners to accurately and completely track revenues as well as
streamline the way in which these partnerships are managed and executed.
The solution features a partner relationship management system to enable
the easy setup, update and viewing of the individual partner details, such as
accounts, contracts and legal agreements. This will enable sunrise to track
and manage each of its content partners in detail, from ensuring that the
correct payment is paid to each of its content partners based on their
individual legal agreements, to recording the volume of individual partner
content purchased.
"The emerging convergent market creates the opportunity for service
providers and new value-add suppliers to strike partnerships and share
revenues from each transaction over IP, broadband or mobile networks," said
Chris McGrady, acting Managing Director, CSG Systems' Europe, Middle East and
Africa region. "CSG's Kenan Revenue Settlements solution provides sunrise
with the capabilities to accurately track revenue and streamline its partner
management processes, as well as provide it with the capability and
scalability for its future growth within this expanding value-add/content
marketplace."
As a standalone business-to-business solution, CSG Kenan Revenue
Settlements works with any billing system and across any network, empowering
the operator to leverage their existing billing system infrastructure to
launch innovative next-generation mobile services faster and with lower total
cost of ownership.
The solution is also fully integrated into Kenan FX, CSG's business
framework that brings together the world-class Kenan/BP billing engine and
revenue-enabling solutions with new order and customer management products
that address an operator's needs throughout its relationship with a customer.
