SEATTLE, June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIGNA HealthCare announced
today that it has signed contracts with three major Washington providers,
Swedish Medical Center, MultiCare Health System and Providence Health
System. The contracts, which cover all CIGNA HealthCare product lines in
Washington, include all hospitals as well as physicians affiliated with
these three health systems. CIGNA announced plans to form its own network
last year and is currently in negotiations with physicians and hospital
systems to continue to build its own provider network effective July 1,
2007.
