Gateway Awarded Contract to Supply Services, Support and Hitachi Data
Systems Storage Solutions to Lower Colorado River Authority
IRVINE, Calif. and DALLAS, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gateway,
the nation's third-largest PC company, and Hitachi Data Systems
Corporation, the leading provider of Application Optimized Storage(TM)
solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), today
announced a $2.4 million contract with the Lower Colorado River Authority
(LCRA) in Austin, Texas.
Gateway will provide installation and project management services, as
well as Hitachi's revolutionary TagmaStore(R) Universal Storage Platform
(USP), Universal Volume Manager and True Copy(TM) Heterogeneous Remote
Replication software to LCRA. The LCRA, a conservation and reclamation
district in Central Texas, will be utilizing the products for storage and
disaster recovery.
