Passengers aboard the highly-secured Jet Aviation flight on a Hawker
800, operated by New World Jet, were Ambassador Raymond Loretan, Consul
General of Switzerland in New York and co-chairman of Swiss Roots; Kasper
Michel, Bundesbrief archivist; Theo Staub, president and COO of Jet
Aviation North America; and two security officers.
The Swiss Federal Charter, which was brought to the National
Constitution Center by Swiss Roots, a Switzerland promotion initiative run
by the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York
(http://www.swissroots.org), will be displayed in an exhibit highlighting
the close constitutional ties between the U.S. and Switzerland. The exhibit
opens June 10 with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, and former Swiss
president Arnold Koller will attend.
"We are especially honored to participate in this truly historic and
memorable event because of our Swiss roots," said Theo Staub. "Air safety
and security are Jet Aviation's top priorities, and we took every
precaution, as we do on all flights, to ensure the safe arrival of
Switzerland's most treasured founding constitutional contract."
This is one of many high-profile trips for Jet Aviation, which also
made the inaugural flight to Reagan National Airport, Washington, D.C. when
general aviation resumed there last October. Jet Aviation has an
outstanding safety record and an award-winning reputation for VIP service.
Robb Report, the international authority on the luxury lifestyle, recently
named Jet Aviation the "Best of the Best National Charter Company" for the
second year in a row.
